Hannah Tinti, author of The Good Thief, recently spoke with a group of students at the Paideia School in Atlanta, Georgia. The students later emailed her book trailers that they’d made for her novel as part of a class project.
We were pretty impressed by them (and wished we were given a fun assignment like this back when we were in school!) Check the trailers out on her blog.
Haven’t read the book yet? Email us and we’ll send a complimentary copy to the first TEN people who respond.

Our upper school uses a book club model for one of our summer reading programs. Every teacher selects a book club book so that we have 50+ books, then all 800 students pick one of the books to read for summer reading. The Good Thief is one of this year’s selections. I suspect it will be a huge hit. I can’t wait to share the book trailers with the teacher that selected it!

This book looks excellent. I was able to send the trailers along to a 10th grade teachers as an example of how she may incorporate technology into her classes.
Thanks for the posting.

I have read excerpts from this book and it sounds like it would be a wonderful book for families to read aloud in the evening. Appropriate for all ages and a real adventure! Can’t wait to read the whole thing!

Wow, am I intrigued by this one! I do love a good adventure story, and this one sounds particularly good. I will enjoy sharing this title with students looking for something well-written, outside of the popular “vampire, zombie, ghost…” genre and without too much modern teenage angst. Refreshing!

I followed the links to the author’s website to view the children’s trailers. Great, creative way to “review” and/or promote books. As a selector for juvenile fiction, I’m going to add this book to my next order. I can’t wait to read the whole thing.

We build our summer reading list around quality, engaging books that will be chosen by students and discussed in the fall. This title looks perfect for our list. I will also send the link to the trailers to our teachers. What a creative assignment!
